Its been a crazy week and a half!!!
Last weekend (not this past one, the one before that) I took the 4+ hour drive from NY to NH to visit my darling cousin (but might as well be my sister) Randi and her family. Had an absolute blast! Not only was I able to spend time with Randi, Rich and the girls...we also went down to MA to visit my other cousin Brett and his family. It was a weekend full of happiness, warmth and reconnecting with some of the most important people in my life. The down side? Keep reading
I now am getting over an unconfirmed case of H1N1. Randi's clan had been sick and the youngest was really sick while I was there. So, I got back into town VERY early on Tuesday, went to work and was back home after lunch with a pounding headache, killer sore throat and a fever. I basically didn't move much until Monday morning when I had to get back to work. Of course I moved to take Lupe out and a quick run for soup and supplies, but that was it.
I feel much better, but still not 100%. The fever is long gone and so are the aches, but the cough, sore throat, headaches and lack of energy are not fully gone yet. It was quite the battle and Saturday night I didn't know if I was going to be able to stop coughing or to get the nose to stop bleeding. Obviously, I did and am taking it easy as I fully recover from this.
Looking forward to next week and seeing family for the holiday...organizing a small get together with family on the day after Thanksgiving and hope to see one of my friends from grade school, middle school and high school while we are both "home" for the weekend. Only sad part, miss seeing BF on her birthday...snarf!
Not the most meaninful post, but I'm back which is a good thing. :)

Girls' Weekend
Tomorrow I leave for a long weekend in New Hampshire and Maine with 2 of my cousins. I haven't seen Jill since December (Florida trip) and I haven't seen Randi since September (Dara's christening). I can't wait to see them both!
Thursday we are getting a "Lobstah Dinnah" prepared by Randi's husband, Rich...although I was told I get to drop them in the pot. Friday we are heading up to Ogunquit where we will spend time shopping, eating, getting a massage, relaxing and probably giggling like we did when I used to stay at their house.
Lupe, aka Chicken Dog, is staying with my Dad and Mary. So she is getting a mini-vacation as well. This is going to be amazing!!!

TGIF!!!
I'm just about always happy when its Friday, but there are some weeks that I'm even more happy than normal...this is one of those weeks.
Caught a cold, don't know how, but I did! Kind of kicked me to the ground, but I didn't let it stop me. I'm looking forward to some restful time this weekend so that I can be well and rested for my vacation next week.
I can't believe my Florida trip is next week! That means I need to dig out warmer clothes and make sure everything fits. My dad told me that he spoke to my uncle and that everyone is so excited for me to come and visit! I can't believe I've never been down to visit them. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad...
Trying to figure out a weekend where I can either go visit Rand in NH or Vik in MA. Rand had a set back with her recovery and had to undergo another reconstruction. Would love to spend time with her, Rich and the girls again. Vik would just be a girls' catch up visit seeing that we haven't seen each other in many many many years. She's even all married and a mom and I have never met her husband or son. Again, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad...
Hey, if airfares stay as low as they are (my flight to Florida was under $200) I might be able to justify another trip, maybe out to the west coast...another friend I haven't seen in years, never met her husband or son...hint, hint, hint, hint...
Have a great weekend all!!!

What a weekend!!!
I had the BEST weekend! Headed up to NH to visit cousin and her family. Not only was it amazing to see her, but her 2 daughters are so much fun (and cute). If I ever figure out how to post pictures, I will...
We went to a street fair, walked on the beach, cooked lobsters, danced, talked, shopped, and really just enjoyed our time together! I didn't want to leave!!!
I stopped at my Dad's house on my way home. Chelsea (his almost 14 year old Maltese) is fading. I personally think she may have had a stroke. Its a tough time for him right now, but she is just not herself. I did get to spend some time with her, which was good, but she has no spunk anymore.
Lupe got HUGE hugs when I got home. So did Steve. He had a fun weekend (maybe a little too much fun), but what I think that matters is that he missed me and did spend some time by himself. He'll have the opportunity this coming weekend, as I'm going to MA b/c my brother and his girlfriend are coming to visit. I've never met her, it should be fun!!!
